eat plenty of protein. i heard sumtime ppl get a little fat and then turn that into muscle. but since u've got a lot of muscle i doubt that would be easy for you lol

victorketh Asked: I'm a powerlifter and I wanna gain more muscle mass?

So i've been a powerlifter for 2 years now.I'm 18,5-11,220 lbs.I have alot of muscle I've got a pretty low body fat% but not like to the point where my veins are popping out and my muscle shows it cut.I mean i have a 6 pack but not that mr. olympia status lol.Since i been powerlifting I've made crazy strength gain's but now i wanna pack on muscle fast and the best way to do it of course is bodybuilding,so i was wondering what do you guys do for like sets?reps?etc?

To give you a quick answer: 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps. Vary these after a month or so.

Lower back soreness and pain from deadlifts?

http://bit.ly/nowhod

Pac Asked: Lower back soreness and pain from deadlifts?

I've been weightlifting/ bodybuilding for roughly two years now.I was getting tired of the same routine so I decided to throw deadlifts and squats in my exercise regimen.I lift every other day and the first day I tried deadlifts, I put 35 lb weight plates on each side.I did four sets of 10/12 reps. Two days later, I bumped it up to 45 lb on each side followed by 55 lbs on each side.

I'm experiencing soreness and a little pain strictly in my lower back.I always make sure to keep my back straight, core tight, and head up while I thrust my hips forward at the peak of the movement. So I'm confused as to why I'm feeling so sore.I probably shouldn't have moved up in weight so fast.Any ideas as to why I'm so sore?I've been told that a lot deadlifters lift too much with their back and not enough with their legs. That could be my problem. What should I do?Should I take a break from deadlifts?
