someoneOdd Asked: Can getting fit/bodybuilding make you homo?
I'm just trying to figure what's happened to me.I've always liked girls, still do, my earliest memories are sneak -- jerking to girls in bikinis on the tv in the music videos back in the day, or to my mom's fashion mags...but now after getting into better physical shape I've started taking interest in men. Only ridicuously fit men though. Is this a form of narcissm-induced homosexuality?
No offense to born that way gays, by the way. I'm just curious about this change that's happened to me.

You're kidding right?
Listen kid, if you're sexually attracted to both genders you are bisexual. Being gay means you are sexually attracted to the same sex. Does that sound like you?
You aren't taking notice of physically fit men sexually, you are scoping out the competition. Really dude, you can't figure this out in your own?!? Like it's not that hard.

First of all, homo = offensive term
Secondly, LIKING OTHER GUYS AND NOT GIRLS MAKES YOU GAY.

No, it doesn't make you homosexual. You can admire a man who is ridiculously fit without being sexually attracted to him.

You work out to get fit and you're interested in men who are fitter than you. It's just so you can know who to look up to and what you want to achieve for yourself. You can't 'turn' gay. You're born that way, or you aren't.You MIGHT 'come out' later in life, but it doesn't sound like it in your case.

no it can not. you are born gay and no other way. what you are feeling is most likely admiration, and not sexual attraction. if not. then you could be bi.

Not really. You can think a guy looks good, even if you are a guy yourself, and not be homosexual. If a person looks good than they look good regardless of gender. Unless you start having sexual thoughts and feelings about those guys then you shouldn't be worried at all.

First off, what do you mean by "taking an interest in other men"? Are you obsessed with their bodies, and did this happen because you started working out? If so, it's probably because you idolize their figures and want a bodybuilder's physique. Also, straight guys can find other guys attractive, in a physical sense, it's only in our homophobic (and sophomoric) culture do we associate it with homosexuality. If you want to have sex with these men, however, then you might possibly be discovering latent bisexuality, since you still have an interest in women but just recently "gained" this interest in men.
I'm more inclined to believe the former, to be honest.

You're just into getting fit. You're looking at other guys because you want to be that big and wonder what it would be like. You're certainly not gay. Now turn that muscled-up bod to some of us girls!

You cannot turn gay as much as you can turn straight.Perhaps it's possible you had some attraction for men physically with out realizing before.

Genetics dictate where you build muscle fastest, how well you build it, how well it looks, etc.
Minor things. If you're dedicated, you will achieve a good physique, no matter what genetics you have.

A lot.
Woodie Allen will never be an NFL lineman.
And NFL lineman Kris "The Giant" Jenkins [retired] will never be a jocky @ 6/5, 360 lbs playing weight.
But your genetics are unique and you'r not locked into what your fam looks like.

How much do genetics play in the pursuit of bodybuilding? Zero. Any body type, in any conditioncan't be built up, strengthened, and improved. How much do genetics play a part in competitive bodybuilding? That's a different story. Your body has to meet very specific requirements for a group of judges to decide that your body is more developed than the other bodies on stage.

Genetics rule in bodybuilding! If nobody in your family has had a six pack, yes, you will be able to get one. You will most likely have the same traits as your ancestors but you can change that. Ex, gain mass, work out, etc. You won't be doomed, but if your dad had a big (muscular) chest, you will probably have an easier time with chest exercises and gaining muscle in your chest.
